For over three and a half decades, Dyna-Graphics has delivered a wide range of membrane switch technology products to a broad variety of industries for use in a large array of applications. Dyna-Graphics continues to deliver membrane switches designed to be interfaced with signal currents – specifically, interfaced with a microprocessor or microprocessor-based module or system. In other words, Dyna-Graphics’ membrane switch technology can be found in virtually any industry and application requiring a membrane switch or conductive rubber keypad that is a microprocessor-controlled module or system. Simply put, Dyna-Graphics’ “niche industry” market is a direct result of the demand for membrane switch technology for the larger industry market for membrane switches, conductive rubber keypads, touch screens, graphic overlays, and related printed circuit board (PCB) assemblies.
Dyna-Graphics supplies a wide range of industries with custom membrane switches, including agricultural-electronics (sometimes referred to as “agro-electronics” – electronics used in agricultural equipment), medical, fitness and the scientific instrumentation sectors. Membrane switches can also be found in recreational equipment (for instance, in the golf industry), consumer products (in the water heating and faucet areas) as well as in marine applications. Focusing on small to medium volume production of membrane switches, Dyna-Graphics will custom design and produce a membrane switch to meet the customer’s specific requirements and needs. Larger volume production needs are capable through our offshore partner.
Dyna-Graphics has designed and manufactured silicone rubber keypads for a wide range of industries and applications. Silicone rubber keypads can be found in a broad array of industries, including the medical, consumer electronics, computer, communication, test instrumentation, and security sectors. Applications for silicone rubber keypads include cell phones, handheld (“smart”) terminals, electronic test equipment, computer peripherals, office and business equipment, and security monitoring equipment, to name a few. Dyna-Graphics prides itself in having the experience and capability to meet and exceed the customer’s requirements for a complete integrated solution – incorporating the membrane switch, rubber keypad, and graphic overlay.
Dyna-Graphics’ touch screens are available in 4-Wire, 5-Wire, and 8-Wire analog resistive technology, utilizing ITO (Indium Tin Oxide) top and bottom layers. Applications of 4-wire touch screens include industrial-grade personal computers, portable electronic devices, consumer components, and remote controls. Touch screens with 5-wire resistive construction operate even if the top layer is damaged, and also have high use endurance capability as well as quick response. Five-wire touch screens are used in casino gaming machines, point-of-sale systems, voting units, and financial equipment. Eight-wire resistive touch screens are extremely accurate; touch screens featuring 8-wire construction are found in factory automation equipment, harsh-environment systems and instrumentation systems.
