Dyna-Graphics Corporation has developed the capability to produce high technology printed circuit boards and PCB membrane switches with fewer pieces of hardware. Since there are fewer components and no metal panel, PCB assembly time is reduced, as well as there are fewer inventory items that are part of the circuit board assembly procedure. Another direct advantage of having fewer components and no metal panel is that PCB assemblies and LEDs (light emitting diodes) can be assembled closer to the back of the lens which results in giving better visual clarity to the user. Dyna-Graphics specializes in layering the keypad and constructing the membrane switch PCB assemblies to meet the customer’s “plug ’n play” specifications.
A wide range of discrete components can be installed on a membrane switch PCB assembly, space permitting. Another added benefit to the Dyna-Graphics’ design of having fewer pieces of hardware and no metal panel is PCB assemblies requiring LCD (liquid crystal display) can have certain components that need to be located in close proximity to the display as close as is needed. One other advantage to this configuration is that this type of layout results in extra space when other printed circuit boards would be fully populated.
Dyna-Graphics offers membrane switch PCB assemblies in a range of materials, drill sizes, line widths, spacing, and thicknesses – again, meeting the clients’ requirements and specifications. By merging our advanced and superior membrane technology design capabilities with our circuit board technology, Dyna-Graphics has created a new, reliable line of products. This design utilizes a printed circuit board as the main structural substrate with the membrane switch on the front of the assembly and the display (along with the other discrete components) on the back side. Another end result of this innovative construction is lower construction cost – which is passed on to you, the customer!
